I slutet av förra veckan hävdade ett rykte att Chrome OS kommer bakas in i Android. För att skingra eventuell förvirring har Google nu meddelat att Chrome OS varken kommer fasas ut eller försvinna – det är en långsiktig satsning.

I resten av inlägget stoltserar Google med framgångarna för Chrome OS. Google nämner bland annat att 30 000 Chromebooks aktiveras i amerikanska skolor varje dag. Ryktet om att sökjätten kommer anpassa Android för datorer kan dock fortfarande visa sig stämma.

Meanwhile, companies such as Netflix, Sanmina, Starbucks and of course Google, are using Chromebooks given the ease of deployment, the ability to easily integrate with existing technologies, and a security model that protects users at all levels, from hardware to user data.
